Pure and Fresh Food

As I mentioned the other day, this week my husband and I embarked on a mini detox of sorts, if you can even call it that. We decided to cut out some of the things we were relying on too much to get through the day, or have been consuming too much of- eschewing caffeine, sugar, alcohol, processed foods and focusing on lots and lots of green goodness.

Instead of starting the morning with black or green tea (as per this months health challenge), we drank green juice followed by some herbal tea. We sipped on a smoothie a day, chomped on kale salads galore and filled up on fresh grain bowls and piping hot veggie soups. After only five days we felt refreshed and renewed. Just what the doctor ordered.
